The story of our logo.

This is a sign carved by Dirck for Kosmos Restaurant - a radish with a grasshopper and a bee. This was an image that lingered in Dirck's sketchbook and in time transformed into our logo. My mother has always been the one who drives the tractor and works in the field and thus is represented by the busy bee. My father as a practicing architect and artist has always been represented by the musical grasshopper. As Biodynamic farmers we embrace the insect world and the help they give us. We love it when a swarm of bees visits the farm. This last season honey bees replaced the troublesome yellow jackets. To us this was a blessing.

The bugs represent our respect for nature.
